Alice Hands, Sustainable Procurement Manager, Sir Robert McAlpine
Alice has worked for Sir Robert McAlpine for 5 years. Starting in the London Sustainability Team, Alice worked as a Sustainability Manager to deliver 70 Mark Lane, a commercial development, to a BREEAM 2011 Excellent standard and delivered industry best practice on the use of secondary aggregates in concrete mix designs. She moved to the central Procurement Team in 2016 as a Sustainable Procurement Manager, to concentrate on embedding sustainability within Sir Robert McAlpine’s procurement processes. Her work more recently has centred around the development and delivery of Sir Robert McAlpine’s response to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 as well as leading the work the organisation is currently undertaking to ensure alignment with the new BRE Ethical Labour Standard.
